Already in 2013 I had the chance to meet Yola, also one of my Raverly friends in person - so exciting and Yola and I had a whale of a time at Fibre East. This year I couldn't go with her, so I asked her to buy a skein of yarn for me. Requirements were that it had to be a yarn she really likes and at the same time something that takes me out of my 'colour comfort zone'. This is what she picked, a skein of Sparkleduck Socka in a colourway called 'Wildflower',
it's beautiful yarn that knits up like a dream, but boy, the colourway sure was way out of what I usually buy and knit up. However, I was determined to turn it into socks for Yola and today she'll find them in her Christmas package. I hope she'll like them.
