I am not the biggest fan of winter in any case, but if the weather where you live is any like here - grey, dull, wet, more grey - you surely understand that I can't wait for spring to come. How appropriate, that the preview of the Spring 2015 issue of Knitscene Magazine went live a couple of days ago: 23 gorgeous projects to knit for spring with a focus on beautiful gold-coloured yarn. The perfect cure for the 'winter blues'.
Aaaaaaaand, I am thrilled to announce that one of my sock patterns was accepted and is part of the lovely collection: Valar Socks.

The socks are knit cuff down and feature a lace pattern that reminds of blooming flowers. The heel flap is patterned, too. The yarn used in the sample is Hazel Knits Artisan Sock in colourway 'Midas', a gorgeous golden yellow, perfect for the 'Gold Dust Women' theme.
These bright coloured socks add a little sunshine to your winter for sure. :-) The digital issue is already available, print copies will be available on January 13, 2015. Have fun knitting them!
