Almost the mid of May and the ice saints are almost over – you know what that means? According to folklore we’ve seen the last nightly frosts of the spring, so it’s time to plant summer flowers. The sooner the better, if you ask my mum. Don’t get me wrong, I like garden work (except for mowing the lawn…) and I love to see lots of flowers in beautiful colours in our garden, but my mum is the one with the green thumb and her love for summer flowers is only to compare with my love for yarn. So we went to the garden centre today…

… and my guess is that I won’t get any knitting done in the next few days since all of these have to find a new home around the house. Isn’t it amazing how much you can fit into a small car when you are determined to do so? That’s quite a burst of colours, isn’t it? Hopefully our summer will be nice enough for us to fully enjoy our sea of flowers.
