Well, I know that this is a very subjective point of view, but I've learnt that there is stuff that is too tiny for me to enjoy.
The past few weeks I've been busy with 'deadline' knitting projects - samples, swatches for new patterns, gifts I needed for a certain date - and I've realized that for me it takes the fun out of the knitting a bit when everything on my needles has to be finished at a certain date. So I decided that I need a project just for fun, but add another knitting WIP to my considerable pile? I wasn't keen on that either. Then I remembered about a sewing kit I bought a couple of months ago, so that sounded like a fun project to play around with when I needed a break from knitting. Ah, well... fun?! As much as I love to sew, these tiny pieces I had to stitch together weren't exactely my cup of tea... At one point I almost trashed the whole project and it was Ulli who saved it by telling me that he thinks it looks 'kind of cute'. Hm... He might be right if you don't get close enough to see my sloppy sewing... ;-). Anyway, I finished it and now to wait if the person who's going to get my flower fairy likes her.
