Well, that's what I am doing, although I admit it was more of a guilty conscience that made me start my latest project. The other day when I was searching for the yarn for Jenny’s monster, I came across a pile of yarn in coordinating colours... still in the box it came in and that was when? In 2012? I know, I bought the yarn right away after the pattern I wanted to use it for was published, because I found the Illustriation Shawl so intriguing that I decided right away that I had to knit it. Well, at least that was the plan. So after stumbling upon the yarn – do you think it popped up on purpose to remind me? – I used the few minutes I had time on Christmas Day and got started. It’s the perfect ‘TV knitting’, interesting enough to keep me going, but mindless enough to work on with little concentration. And the effect really is stunning; Ijust love illusion knitting (or shadow knitting). Have you ever tried the technique? It really is so fun and one can create such amazing projects. Visit the Woolly Thoughts World of Illusion Knitting to see what you can create with just knit and purl stitches, it’s incredible. My ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ – created by the use of 4 colours only! - are about 1/3 done and I can’t wait to see it finished.

And before I forget: Have a great start into 2016, everyone!
