Finally… one of my long-time WiPs is finished! So proud! Mainly because I mustered up the energy to finish it at all.
I started this project, ahem, back in 2009 already. We had a Great American Aran Afghan Knit Along in a German forum, with just one square per month, and I was on track until I had something like 13 or 14 squares and then, no idea why, I put it aside… and the project spent years and years in some dark corner…

Last year I picked it up again and knit the remaining squares (I knit and used all 24 for my blanket, including the ones used as pillows in the book), then it took another couple of months before I felt like assembling it and I started the border in April. Soooooo long and so, so, so boring to knit… The finished size is about 120 x 190 cm. But it’s finally done! Yay for the feeling of accomplishment! :)
