The other day when I was looking for patterns for crochet ornaments I came across the most adorable Tetraeder Bird pattern by Tanja Osswald. I made one as a gift for a swap - and I found it so cute that I knew I had to use some of my scraps for more of them. So one morning, my breakfast table looked like this: bread roll, coffee in my fave mug, a boiled egg, a crochet hook and lots of scrap yarn....

Well, it didn't take long until my egg had disappeared and the next eggs cracked open...;-) The Tetraeder Birds have their own style of getting out of their eggs, it seems.

And quite a few were to follow: six boys, six girls = The Birdie Bunch.

From left to right: Buddy, Belinda, Bernie, Bella, Bo, Brady, Bonnie, Bertha, Buck, Beatrice (Bea), Baby, Barry BIRD.

They were full-fledged in no time and now enjoy to paint the garden red...
