... really is limited to designing them. They are such fun and quick projects and I enjoy to play with colours and textures in this small scale project. But I have to admit that I never ever wear hats. Which is the reason why it turns into such a problem to take pictures for my self-published patterns.
My mum refuses to do the job, DH would do but how would he look like with a hat with lace pattern?, a friend I asked the other day felt really uncomfortable with the idea to have her pic on my pattern pdfs, so... yep, I gave it a try. And now see for yourself that there are for sure better hat models than I am, lol.

The pattern is Twist & Turn Hat, published last year in Knit Now magazine and currently in tech editing to be rereleased soon. It's DK weight yarn, knit up in no time and I like the combination of lace and cable pattern.

This is the Zigzagging Hat and Mittens set, recently published in the Knit Picks Under 200 collection. Made in Knit Picks Gloss, a merino and silk blend, the items are really soft and wonderful to wear and I also love the snug fit thanks to the ribbing. But let's face it, the true stars in this picture are my neighbours, Willow and Frenzy, the shetties. Hats are just not for me.
I guess I'll have to look for someone else to model my accessories when it's not socks.
