I own a ton of handmades and have zillions of skeins of yarn in my stash, but never, never ever have I had a problem with moths. Well, until now this is.

I bought this pretty skein of yarn during our holidays in the US back in 2014, caked it right away and I think I started to knit with it something like three times. But while I love the colour, the patterns never seemed right. But I wanted to knit it up, so it never got into a plastic bag, but instead wandered from the knitting basket in the living room into the kitchen, it went with me on holiday twice, sat for month on my desk in my office, wandered back into the craft room, sat another couple of month in the living room... until I picked it up again a couple of days ago. And somewhere along its travels, it must have met some moths... gah! The damage wasn't too bad, but I had like six or seven bits to cut out (and of course more ends to weave in), and believe me, I learnt my lesson: never ever let your yarn sit forever without a proper cover. Sigh.

Anyway, now that the damage was done, my first attempt of turning the yarn into something went very well. :) Really happy with my Rippling Cables and really? What took me so long...
