So after my first (more or less) success with the crochet hook the other day, I decided to crochet some more gifts. The first one is another gift for my partner in the Christmas swap who owns an Alpaca farm. So why not add a toy one to her real ones? ;)

It wasn't hard to crochet Alfie the Alpaca (pattern available here), but assembling the pieces took me forever. But I am pretty pleased how it turned out.
Now, for my dear friend Yola I was determined to crochet a sheep, because she collects anything sheep. And boy, this one... you can't even imagine how often I frogged the thing. I had a pattern from the German book 'Wollowbies' including instructions for the loop stitch, but no matter how often I tried, I didn't get it right and in the end my sheep looked like a sheepshearer had have a very bad day... No idea why, but it took me several attempts until I finally had the idea to look for instructions in the internet. Which I found and with the different way explained there, I still struggled with the hook, but I got the hang of it right away. And the sheep looked so much better. :) I hope Yola will love her Christmas gift too.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
