... to start Christmas crafting, is it? I have to laugh while I write this, because I'm known to finish handmade x-mas gifts on Christmas Eve, if at all in time. However, I'm participating again in an x-mas ornaments exchange and last year I had to hurry a bit in the end, to get all ornaments done and shipped before Christmas. So... I try to be better organised this year and have started with my gift ornaments. Last year I went for lots of differet crocheted ones, this year I've decided to go for knitted Christmas balls with different motifs. The idea is to choose colours and motifs based on the likings of each participant. As a nice side effect I hope to make use of some of the leftover sock yarns I hoard, since there is only so little yarn needed for each ball.
Some time ago I received the book Julekuler by Arne and Carlos (english titel '55 Christmas Balls to knit') as a gift, so I had ideas at hand to get me started. The first two baubles are done - now to keep it rolling!
